Butter Making!

A staple food that goes along with bread, potatoes, meat, and is in almost every dessert... For their second lesson, the girls made homemade butter using heavy cream and salt!

Lava Lamps

Using Airborne vitamin tablets and equal proportions of oil and water, the girls created a DIY lava lamp. Together, they explored the concepts of density and how changes in density can lead to some pretty liquid interactions!

Sound Amplification!

Other than increasing the volume on our smartphones, the girls explored alternative, creative ways to turn up our sound! They used plastic cups, bottles, and various other materials, to see what maximized the sound!

Boat making!

Who's boat can stay up the longest? Learning about buoyancy can be a tricky concept, but the girls explored it through making their own boats with aluminum foil, wooden sticks, paper, cardboard, and various materials. Then, they tested it out using coin weights!

Rainbows!... in a cup??

Using the different densities of various liquids, the girls explored the concept of density to make beautiful rainbow layered liquids in a cup!
