Hailey Yoon is a sophomore in high school and joined FemSTEM in 2024. Her passion for STEM subjects has helped build her STEM career and she is delighted to share these passions by teaching children. As a member of FemSTEM, she hopes to satisfy the club and her personal goals of bringing positive influence to young girls in STEM.

 

Since her childhood, Hailey has always been fascinated by engineering and computers. Being exposed to disassembled computers from a young age, she always found it intriguing to see the different parts of a computer and how technology has developed to change these parts. Later on in middle school, she expanded this interest to robotics and started to find joy in programming. 

 

In high school, she started to build her career in programming by participating in many competitive programming competitions. Along with competitive programming, she is also interested in website development. Hailey has been involved in connecting her programming passions with other areas of interest by utilizing her technology skills to take new approaches. During the rest of her high school years, Hailey hopes to delve deeper into more STEM topics and grow as a student, not being discouraged by her surroundings. Hailey hopes her journey in STEM can pave the way for future female STEM students and their careers!
